It has officially been over a year now that I quit smoking. Woot for me. What have I learned in this past year from this experience? That I can do nearly anything I set my mind to. I was the avid smoker who was 2+ packs a day (on a normal day), down to nothign by using mostly will power and the patch for a couple of weeks. A lot can be done with a little motivation, and a whole lot of will power!
The stats:
365 days, 16 hours, 24 minutes and 46 seconds smoke free.
10970 cigarettes not smoked.
$3,294.00 and 2 months, 23 days, 19 hours of your life saved.
I found the toughest time for me to not smoke was when drinking and in social situations such as work. However, I did find that there are plenty of things going on inside of the establishment while the smokers are away. I do however still enjoy standing outside and chatting with the smokers from time to time, after all they were my kinda people.
Moving forward, I have new goals and plans that will hopefully be accomplished just like this one. Now if I could just get my brother to quit smoking…
